Con il seguente comunicato stampa Asus annuncia ufficialmente la nuova scheda madre P4SDX: si tratta di un modello Socket 478, per processori Intel Pentium 4, basato su chipset SiS 655. Questa nuova soluzione introduce per la prima volta un controller DDR Dual Channel su piattaforme Pentium 4.

Il nuovo chipset SiS 655 supporta memorie DDR333, per una bandwidth massima teorica che raggiunge con questi moduli i 5,4 Gbytes al secondo in configurazione dual channel.
